Delete your account and your data
Last updated: 23 August 2026
1. There is no account to delete
Anakel has no user accounts. There's no sign-up, no login and no server of ours. You never gave us an email address, a phone number or a name, so there's no account to close and no data of yours in our hands to erase.
Your whole collection — items, collections, notes, covers, loans, settings — lives in a database inside your own device. It's explained in detail in the privacy policy.
2. Before deleting: take your data with you
This is irreversible and we hold no copy of anything, so if you want to keep your collection, get it out first. It's free on every plan:
- Open Anakel and go to Settings → Data.
- Choose Export and the format: CSV to open it in a spreadsheet, JSON to keep it whole.
- Save the file wherever you like. It's yours and it doesn't expire.
From the same place you can make a full backup, covers included, if what you want is to be able to restore it later on another phone.
3. How to delete everything
Option A — Uninstall the app
Uninstalling Anakel deletes everything: the database, the stored covers and the settings go with it, the same as with any app. No copy is left anywhere, because there never was a copy anywhere.
Anakel is deliberately excluded from the system's automatic backup —
allowBackup="false" on Android, and excluded from iCloud on
iOS — so there's no backup of yours sitting in Google Drive or iCloud to
reappear later either.
Option B — Empty it without uninstalling
If you'd rather keep the app but wipe it clean:
- Delete the items and collections you want from within the app.
- Empty the trash from Settings → Data: until you empty it, deleted things are still there, recoverable with one tap.
- Or, from the system settings: Phone settings → Apps → Anakel → Storage → Clear data. That leaves it as freshly installed.
4. The one thing that isn't deleted: your purchase
If you bought Plus, that record is held by Google Play (or the App Store) and by RevenueCat, not by us, and it's tied to your Google or Apple account.
It's what makes it possible to restore your purchase if you reinstall or change phones, which is why it survives uninstalling the app. To erase that record you need to go to the relevant store: it's managed from your Google or Apple account, under their own retention policies.
5. Retention periods
There is no retention period on our side, because we retain nothing. Deletion on your device is immediate as soon as you uninstall the app or clear its data: no grace period, no deletion queue, no deferred copy.
6. What if you'd rather ask us in writing?
You can write to soporte@mttechdev.com with the subject [DELETION] and we'll confirm by email exactly what this page says: that we hold no data of yours, and that deletion is entirely down to you and your device.
Bear in mind that if you do write, that email address of yours is data: we'll keep it only as long as needed to reply to you, and then delete it.
